What might the student do to enhance this perception of being charismatic ?

First of all, before we talk about how to enhance charisma , we must know what is charismatic exactly. Based on Oxford dictionary Charismatic is Exercising a compelling charm which inspires devotion in others. Since the 1970’s, contemporary theorists have been fascinated with the study of leadership and leaders’ influence on followers. There are differences in leadership styles, and theorists have named them. Charismatic is one style. Others include Adaptive, Authentic, Servant, Transforming, and Transformational. By considering differing styles of leadership, you can evaluate and, if necessary, modify leaders’ relationships with followers for the benefit of the community. In this case study, our focus is on charismatic leadership. In 1947, sociologist Max Weber defined charismatic leaders as individuals who possess “a gift of grace.” Charismatic leaders have drawn attention because of their visionary qualities, as well as their ability to engage others in action – qualities that are important in crisis situations. Weber further defined charismatic leaders as heroes, or people with extraordinary qualities. Charisma sets individuals apart from ordinary men and women. People high in charisma are often treated as though they are endowed with supernatural, superhuman or exceptional powers (Weber, 1947).

The study of charismatic leaders has evolved since Weber’s time, with researchers observing both the positive and negative characteristics unique to these types of leaders. Initially, some theorists believed that charismatic leaders are born, but most researchers have since concluded that charismatic leaders develop their skills over time. All charismatic leaders are solutions-focused and demonstrate energy, vision, and foresight, but each type of charismatic leader has some unique characteristics. Experts have identified three types of charismatic leadership styles (although one is more a technique for acquiring leadership traits than a style).

In term of organization especially as the leader of the organization we should have a charismatic in our personality. Charisma is one of the most essential traits of a successful person. If you look at the leaders, innovators, legends and the generally successful, the one quality all of them possess is charisma. In order to aspire to such heights, it’s important to understand why charisma is so necessary for success. Charisma is not something you can teach someone and not something someone can just pick up along the way. You either have it or you don't. It is one of the only qualities that you are born with, so essentially it comes down to the luck of the draw. Many argue whether it is a product of nature or nurture, but after close examination of the most successful people on planet earth, researchers have noticed it is indeed something with which you are born. Successful people are leaders; they have the ability to get people around them to help them achieve their ultimate goal. A task that’s a lot easier said than done. Leaders are essential presences in humanity, they are the ones that have the courage and the ability to instill belief inside others to support what they are doing and help them get to where they want. It’s not what you do; it’s why you do it -- that is what gets people behind you.

Charismatic leaders are essentially very skilled communicators – individuals who are both verbally eloquent and can communicate with followers on a deep, emotional level. They are able to articulate a compelling or captivating vision, and are able to arouse strong emotions in their followers. That is what makes them successful. Steve Jobs didn't do it all on his own, he had the most talented people behind him believe in his dream and propel him because of his charisma and ingenuity. It is what brings light to the room when you walk in. It is about making people feel a way that others can't. It’s about having an impact and being listened to as if you are a god on earth when you speak. That is not something that can be taught or developed; it is just something that you naturally have, just like being naturally athletic. Charismatic people are successful because they have the eye of the tiger, they are the alpha personality that can still connect and empathize with everyone and make them feel just as important as anyone else. Here are the 10 habits of charismatic people that make them so successful:

1.       They Make For Great Listeners
People tend to undervalue how important listening is. Not just to make someone feel important, but rather to understand what he or she has to say and where his or her head is at. Without listening you don’t know what someone is thinking. Charismatic people understand what not to say and what to say in many situations. They know that by simply listening to someone, they have just converted them because they have the ability to make them feel special.

2.       They Are Observers
People underestimate the importance of observing everything. Many people might be able to see, but they do not have vision. Charismatic people see everything and watch everything. It is almost impossible to get something past them or over them because they are so obsessed with the details of everything. Remarkably charismatic people walk around as if they have a telescope embedded in their eye. Before they do something or act on something, they study it by watching it. This allows them to prepare themselves for any situation that may arise.

3.      They Know The Right Time And Place For Everything
In a world where there are tons of distractions, charismatic people hold respect for others. They won't sit in front of you looking at their phones, focusing on something unimportant or being easily distracted. They give their full attention to others, which makes them feel important. That’s a gift few people give. That gift alone will make others want to be around you and remember you and will make them want to work harder for you.

4.      They Are Selfless
They understand that you have to give before you get. They never focus on what they can get out of something; rather they focus on what they can provide for the people around them, as well as the world. They understand that your input equals the result.

5.      They Don’t Act Self-Important
It is okay to be cocky, confident and a bit arrogant, as charismatic people do possess those qualities, but they also understand that there is a line that they shouldn't cross and that line is acting as if they are self important and a big shot. The only people who are impressed by your stuffy, pretentious, self-important self are other stuffy, pretentious, self-important people. The rest aren't impressed, they are actually uncomfortable with the fact that your insecurities leave you feeling the need to show off. Charismatic people don't ever cross that line because they can't afford to be public enemy number 1.

6.      They Understand How Important Others Are
Rome was not built in a day, nor was it done by just one person. We live in a world where we need others to help us get to where we want. Not only can you learn from other people, but you can use them in your favor as well. Charismatic people understand that it is not the quantity of people that you have in your life, but rather the quality of them and they value those relationships pretty highly. It’s not what you know, but who you know nowadays.

7.      They Are Humble
Great leaders inspire action, they do this by giving credit to others and being humble, never forgetting where they came from and never trying too hard to impress anyone. By being humble they create emotional bonds with their team rather than just a work relationship or an intellectual relationship. They know never to cross the line of being overly pompous because that is how you cause jealousy and hatred within the group.

8.       They Have A Vision
Charismatic leaders always have a target, they know where they are heading and they know where they want to be. Clarity within the vision is what gets people to believe in and work hard for it. And it’s not just any vision, it is one that is incredibly compelling and is in line with your values, interests and desires.

9.       They Only Bring Positive Energy
You can sense a charismatic person as soon as they walk into the room. They just have something about them and possess a certain type of energy that many lack. They bring light in and have the whole room interested in what they have to say -- because of their charisma they can entertain anyone and get along with whomever they choose to.

10.   They Inspire Others
As the good old saying goes: it’s not what you do, it’s why you do it. Charismatic people inspire action within others. They make others believe in what they are doing to inspire them to help them achieve their goals. They make them believe in their dreams, goals and a greater purpose. On top of all that, they make everyone around them feel special and a greater part of the cause rather than just a pedestrian employee.

Well after we read the description about Charismatic, we can conclude that it is very important to have when we as a leader or part of organization, because it will give a lots of benefits to the organization to achieve the goals. So we as the student must have charismatic in our personality. To make the dream come true, we should follow this step to be a charismatic person :
1.      Manage your nerves.
When charismatic people speak, you notice they don’t seem to be nervous. Managing nerves isn’t easy, but there are some basic tips to make sure you come across with confidence and charisma. For instance, use props when you speak to take the pressure off yourself from having to always come up with the right words. Also, repeat the mantra, This opportunity is bigger than me.
2.       Listen with intent.
When most people think of charismatic people, they think of their ability to talk or interact with others. What impresses me is someone who is a listener. I think it’s hard to be good at this, and with the fast-paced world we live in, good listeners are hard to come by. So to me, a charismatic person is someone who listens with intent and makes you feel as if your thoughts are valued.
3.       Be relatable.
Make your conversations relatable to those you’re speaking with. Use stories that position you as an average person in whom others can see themselves. Use mirroring techniques such as using the same words and terminology the other person uses, and try to find the common ground with everyone you talk to by asking the right kind of questions.
4.       Talk about your passions.
The right topic can give power to your voice. When you think something is boring, your energy level will be low. When you talk about a passion—the challenge that keeps you up at night, the people you care about, how you want to impact the world for the better—your energy will come through. Your passion will remove nerves or fears, give your voice conviction and persuade others to support you.
5.       Give more than you take.
Charismatic people enhance and enrich the lives of those around them. When you genuinely offer to help someone else, they will be particularly fond of you. We are drawn away from the self-serving to those who serve others first before themselves. Give more than you take and you will be well on your way to becoming charismatic.
6.       Have a sense of humor.
Humor, humor, humor. If you have the confidence to try (and succeed) making the other person laugh, you have them in your pocket. Funny and charismatic go hand-in-hand since the beginning of time.
7.       Be adaptable to the situation.
Most people say confidence gives you charisma, but I say it is the ability to be adaptable to any given situation or environment. How? Keep up with the news and industry trends, and be willing to ask questions when you don’t understand something. More often than not, people will be happy to explain their expertise to you.
8.      Remember names.
Remembering a person’s name can get his or her attention in an instant. It makes them feel important and helps you become more likeable. As Dale Carnegie famously said, “A person’s name is the sweetest sound in the world to that person.” Whether in a business situation or personal situation, make an effort to remember names of people you’ve met.
9.       Have genuine interest.
A charismatic individual exudes personal magnetism, and I’ve found that charismatic people are genuinely interested in others. The key is to actively show interest and enthusiasm in the other person when you engage in a conversation. Listen carefully to what they have to say before asking questions that invite more depth and information. Do this and you’ll give your “charisma factor” a huge boost.
10.   Ask more questions.
People like to talk about themselves. Therefore, if you ask more and actively listen more, you will be far more charismatic. I would recommend playing a game in your mind: Try to see how little you can actually talk and practice asking questions to questions. For example, “That’s a great question. Why are you interested in knowing that?” Also, expand your vocabulary with more vibrant words.
That’s all about how to enhance charisma that student can do. We as a smart  student  being Charismatic is really important as a leader in the organization and social environment. Because it will give a excellent influence to the  goals of  an organization. Charismatic person will be excellent leader.

-Thank you-
